Madeleine Girling trained in Theatre Design at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, graduating with a First Class Honors, and receiving The Lord Williams Memorial Prize for Design 2012.  In 2013 she was awarded as a winner in The Linbury Prize For Stage Design for her collaboration with Nottingham Playhouse. Between April 2013 and July 2014 she worked for The Royal Shakespeare Company in a one-year, Design Assistant position.
